Water Tower Maintenance Update

Updated: 6.21.22 10:42am

Work is nearing completion on the water tower renovations. Painting is complete, and DPW is working on filling the tower for testing. Because of this, water is flowing through service lines quicker than usual. This is stirring up sediment and may cause discoloration to your water.
DPW is required by EGLE to fill, drain, and refill the water tower. This process will require 3-4 days pending water sample results.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we bring the tower back into service.
Please contact city hall with any questions. We will post another update once all testing is complete to announce when the tower is officially back in service.
