Utilities

Municipal Water: Capable of producing 1 million gallons per day, current peak use is just under half.

Municipal Sewer: Three-lagoon system with capacity of approximately 500,000 gallons per day.

Current use is less than half capacity.
 

Electric and Natural Gas: Provided by Consumers Energy Co.

Telephone Service: Provided by TDS Telephone Co.

Cable-TV Service: Provided by WOW!

Trash Service: Provided by Granger

In the Fall of 2003, Main Street (S-M52) in the City of Perry was totally reconstructed.

The $3,000,000 MDOT (Michigan Department of Transportation) project included a 
$600,000 Streetscape. 

Currently the City of Perry is at about 50 percent build-out capacity.

Housing Values:  According to the 2000 Census, the median housing value in
Shiawassee County was $95,900; the City of Perry was $100,900.

Property Taxes: The property tax rate for residential homes (Homestead) in the City of Perry is
42.5145 mills, a tax of $42.51 for every $1,000 worth of Assessed Value.
