2018 Christmas Fantasy

2018 Christmas Fantasy
(Scroll Down for Photos of this year's event)

We would like to thank everyone including merchants and
guests who made the second annual “Christmas Fantasy”
another fantastic success.

  The participation of local businesses was nearly
100 percent and the attendance for guests was an
 all-time high for events of this nature.

The event centered around a magnificent “Tree of Lights”
custom-made for the City of Perry by the
Michigan Laborers’ Training and Apprenticeship Institute.
Heartfelt thanks and gratitude are extended to
Lynn Coleman and MLTAI for this everlasting gift.

  Working together to bring smiles to all the faces is always
very rewarding in many ways.

  Key features during the Saturday, Dec. 8, holiday event,
included: the Living Nativity, coordinated and performed
by Perry Baptist Church; the Reindeer Station;
Ty Rockafellow and the Perry Elementary music students;
Christmas carolers from the Congregational Church;
Harpist Danielle Eilert (at the library);
pianist and soloist Sue Hammond (at the museum);
and local author Leland Scott.

Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived in town in a fantastic
drawn wagon, courtesy of Dr. Tammy Mika of
Perry Dental
and provided by Doneth Farms of Durand.
The two
seasonal visitors were escorted by the
Perry Police
Department with Perry Area Fire Rescue
providing a
secure route to the Christmas tree.

Dr. Dave Mika, of Mika Orthodontics, organized and
sponsored an exciting Scavenger Hunt with numerous
prizes, which incorporated the festive business windows
painted by members of the Perry High School (PHS)
National Arts Society. Thanks to PHS teacher/advisor
Sarah Rozdilski for all her help.

wo “selfie” stations were set-up for photo enthusiasts
including Mistletoe Stop thanks to the Floral Gallery
with assistance from Total Resale and a
Vintage Tractor owned by Randy Davis and setup
by Spalding Insurance.

by several merchants including: Carl’s Super Market;
Darling Art  and the Children’s Community Theater;

Branch Library; Perry’s Downtown Diner; and
