Help Prevent Frozen
Water Lines

A few tips to help prevent
frozen water lines during the
winter months, include:

* Leave kitchen and bathroom cabinet
doors open to allow warmer air to
circulate around the plumbing.
* When the weather is very cold outside,
let the cold water drip from the faucet
served by exposed pipes. Running water
through the pipe - even at a trickle - helps
prevent pipes from freezing.
* If it is very cold outside and the water
pressure begins to drop, it is a good
indication that your pipes may be freezing.

If you have any questions or concerns,
please call City Hall, (517) 625-6155;
or DPW (517) 625-4500.
