ARENA WARFLE (right), was appointed during the Thursday, Dec. 7, Perry City Council meeting as Student Mayor for the City of Perry,
an honorary role she will serve until Jan. 4, 2018.
As Student Mayor, Warfle will assist Mayor James Huguelet (left) with various ceremonial duties, which may include ribbon cutting
ceremonies, participating in parades and ceremonies and presentation of special recognitions/proclamations. She will also have a
priority privilege to speak.
Warfle, a Perry High School senior, is a member of the National Honor Society (NHS), president of the National Art Honors Society
(NAHS), Top 10 Student of the Class of 2018; and treasurer of the
Shiawassee Regional Educational Service District (SRESD) Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA).
She is also a 4-year varsity softball player and member of the 2017 team that won the district title as well as a 4-year member of Krash,
a travel softball team.
Warfle, a 3-year varsity volleyball player, also served as senior captain for the team this year.
She has been accepted to attend Grand Valley State University beginning in the fall of 2018 where she plans to major in nursing with
the ultimate goal of earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
