City of Perry
Jubilee Park is Closed for the Winter Season effective Wednesday, Oct. 16.
The park will re-open April 15, 2021
The City of Perry maintains two public parks available for family fun, recreation and community events. Both Jubilee Park and Veterans' Memorial Park may also be reserved/rented for family events.
The Parks and Properties Committee is in the process of upgrading both of the parks with hopes of obtaining/upgrading playground equipment, installing new horseshoe pits and a new shuffleboard (at Jubilee Park). Other enhancements in discussion is installation of a Splash Pad and a Walking Trail with Exercise Stations positioned along the trail.
Jubilee Park, located at the west end of Third street, south of the railroad tracks, is a hidden treasure, equipped with playground equipment, a pavilion with picnic tables, restrooms (open upon request) and a softball field.
Veterans' Memorial Park surrounds Perry City Hall, located at 203 West Polly Street, on the north side of the railroad tracks. This park is equipped with a softball field, soccer field, sledding hill and pavilion with picnic tables and restrooms. It is also enhanced with Veterans' Circle, a display of flags honoring the United States of America, POWs (Prisoners of War), and each of the military branches.
Several community events are held in Veterans' Memorial Park including the annual Easter Eggstravaganza, National Night Out and PerryFest.
Persons interested in renting either of the pavilions or ball fields may view the Facility Rental page, or call City Hall. A calendar is also available on that page to see if the desired date is available.
Input regarding the parks is always welcome and interested persons are always welcome at the Parks & Properties meetings. See the Community Calendar on this website for dates and times, or call City Hall, (517) 625-6155.
